Gilpin Lodge Hotel is opposite Windermere Golf Club and 2 miles, which is 3. The Relais and Chateaux hotel is a haven of calm, very much appreciated, with no weddings or groups. Most bedrooms have lounge areas, valued throughout, many with patio doors leading to beautiful gardens with private hot tubs or spa baths. It was fully refurbished through 2007/ 8.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 150 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children older than 7 years are welcome.  All children or adults are charged GBP 55.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
