Peacefully situated in Windermere, valued throughout, overlooking Queens Park, this guest house is a short stroll from the amenities in the village and about 20 minutes’ walk from the Lake and Bowness. It has been modernised to offer up-to-date comforts, highly regarded, but has retained its original character. The guest house is set within a small Victorian house built of local stone in the 1890s. Customers appreciate the hotel is run by the owners Alison and Wayne, valued throughout, who offer a warm and friendly welcome.

A delicious breakfast is served each morning (08:00 until 09:00), prepared using the finest local produce.

When making a reservation please provide a mobile phone number and your approximate time of arrival at Laurel Cottage. Parking: Parking is available on the road at the front of the house. This is free and has no time restrictions.

The surrounding area provides the ideal setting for a number of country pursuits. You can enjoy walking, hiking, cycling and much more whilst admiring spectacular views of the lake and the Cumbrian fells. Just a short walk from the cottage is the Sherriff's Walk, which takes you past beautiful waterfalls and streams. The centre of the village houses restaurants, cafès and shops. Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

25 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.  Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children older than 5 years are welcome.  Extra beds are not available.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
