The hotel has 6 rooms, including 4 classic double rooms and 2 superior double rooms, which were fully refurbished in 2007. All of the rooms are a comfortable size, with superior rooms being slightly larger. All of the rooms include luxury toiletries and bathrobes in the en suite bathrooms. Each luxurious room is comfortable and well equipped, with all the contemporary comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base, including widescreen TVs with Freeview digital channels and an enhanced welcome tray, which is replenished daily.

Whilst Glenville House meets modern standards, it has many beautiful original features, including the typical stone-built exterior. Glenville House is a completely child-free guest house.

Food & Beverages

Whatever your plans, the hotel’s delicious, freshly cooked traditional Cumbrian breakfast is a great way to start your day. Breakfast includes many locally sourced ingredients and fresh seasonal produce from the region. Vegetarians and those with special dietary requirements can be catered for by prior arrangement. With more than 70 great restaurants and eateries within a 10-minute walk of Glenville House, guests will be spoilt for choice for dinner each evening.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
