The spacious Imperial Club Rooms (32 to 47 m²) are uniquely designed with extraordinary, comfortable furnishing. Large bathrooms feature a separate tub and a huge rain shower, as well as a heated towel rail. Imperial Club Room rates include breakfast, in-room minibar, internet and access to the Imperial Club Lounge. Club Rooms and Imperial Club Rooms feature access to the exclusive Imperial Club Lounge, which offers complimentary amenities like breakfast, non-alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, tea, coffee), a selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, alcoholic beverages (daily from 17:00 to 21:30), Internet access and a variety of newspapers, books and magazines.

Hotel details

Distinctive business and leisure travellers reside in a 19th century Imperial Riding School in Vienna's diplomatic district, while enjoying the lush 500 m² private garden. This boutique hotel was originally built in 1850, under Emperor Franz Josef I, as a military riding school. During the planning and construction of this hotel the utmost care was taken to preserve the heritage and style of the original architecture. What is now currently the entrance way and the restaurant was originally the horse stable. In November 2008 The Imperial Riding School Vienna, A Renaissance Hotel, met the high criteria in order to receive the “Österreichisches Umweltzeichen für Tourismus” an official Austrian award for ecology-minded behaviour in the tourism sector.

Food & Beverages

Borromaeus: This restaurant with adjacent winter garden and summer terrace serves breakfast (06:30 to 11:00) and dinner (17:00 to 23:00). The Imperial Renaissance Garden Club is open from May to September offering City Barbecue (daily from 17:00 to 23:00). Arsenal Beer and Wine Pub: The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:00 to 17:00. The flair of our restaurant embodies glorious days gone by: visions of the imperial cavalry parading their coat of the arms throughout the long-gone empire.

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and costs EUR 16.90 per 24 hours.

Public parking is possible on site and costs EUR 22.00 per day.  Public parking is possible on site and costs EUR 2.80 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  2.8 % city/tourist tax per person per night is included. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast costs EUR 15.00 per person.  American breakfast costs EUR 24.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
