K. & T. BoardinghouseOur private home was renovated in 1999 and opened to guests wishing to rent rooms in a friendly family-style environment. This small family-managed guesthouse offers a friendly atmosphere in an excellent location, valued throughout, between the historic centre and the Western Train Station on Vienna's main shopping street. Most of Vienna’s important attractions and sights are within easy walking distance or accessible by public transport. There are 3 spacious rooms, and above all, each with full private facilities and cable TV, which is CNN,, that can accommodate up to 5 people in a room. We are also happy to offer advice on eating out, very much appreciated, museums, using public transportation, events and much more. When you check in, valued throughout, we offer a detailed outline as to what to do in Vienna, along with a city map, to help make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. If you wish to experience Vienna in a very authentic and local atmosphere, and above all, then this is the place you should choose to stay.

Rooms

Each room has traditional high ceilings and parquet floors, and is decorated in a simple, soft and classic style. All rooms are very clean and bright, with one room facing an inner courtyard and the other two onto one of Vienna’s most popular shopping streets. The rooms are tastefully furnished and were recently renovated.

Free Internet access is available every day around the clock in the reception area. Fax and telephone services can be used at regular charges. We can take care of your laundry for a minimal extra fee. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer are available any time for free. We offer free luggage storage after check-out or before check-in, if your room should not be ready yet.

Please note: We are located on the third floor and there is no elevator. Therefore travellers with very heavy luggage or health problems will need to consider this when booking with us.

Area information

There are many coffee houses (from Starbucks to the traditional Viennese), bars, bakeries, restaurants and delis in the area. The Naschmarkt is only a 10-minute walk away and is open 7 days a week. You will find fresh fruit and vegetable stands, international delis and food stalls offering inexpensive meals. On Saturdays there is also a popular flea market. The Spittelberg area, noted for its student bars and artistry shops, is about a 5-minute walk away. A pharmacy, a tobacconist/newsagent and a large fashion store are located in the same apartment block as our guesthouse.

Travel information

From the Western Train Station (Westbahnhof): Take the underground line U3 for 2 stops to Neubaugasse and take the Neubaugasse exit. We are located right where you come out of the exit. Alternatively, it is a 10- to 15-minute walk. From the Southern Train Station (Südbahnhof): Take the bus line 13A to the Neubaugasse stop. We are located, across the street, as you alight at the bus stop. From the airport: Take the train to the City Air Terminal, change to the line U3 for 5 stops to Neubaugasse and take the Neubaugasse exit. From the Franz-Josephs-Bahnhof: Take the tram line 5 to the Westbahnhof and take the underground line U3 for 2 stops to Neubaugasse and take the Neubaugasse exit. We are located right where you come out of the exit. Alternatively, it is a 10- to 15-minute walk from the Westbahnhof.

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Meal Plan

This hotel has no meal services. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
