The hotel has a range of accommodation to suit everyone, with rooms, suites and luxury 2-bedroom apartment suites. The rooms are located on 2 floors and offer elegant style, matched with simplicity. All rooms feature king or queen-size beds and spectacular sea or woodland views. Each room is different, both in layout and size. Every room has a luxury bathroom and a flat-screen TV. There are 20 luxurious 2-bedroom apartment suites located next to the hotel. The apartment suites provide a relaxed atmosphere for families or for those seeking total privacy.

The well-known Bridgestone Guide has listed the Nephin Restaurant and the Mulranny Park Hotel as one of the top 100 restaurants and hotels in Ireland. Guide co-author John McKenna, declared the hotel to be his sons favourite hotel: “PJ McKennas favourite hotel is also County Mayos favourite hotel, thanks to outstanding cooking and fantastic staff". Rich in history, the hotel lists John Lennon amongst its former guests. First opened for business in March 1897, this landmark hotel was originally built by the Midland Great Western Railway. Once known as the Great Western Hotel, the hotel became a famous destination during the lifetime of the railway between Westport and Achill. Completely refurbished in the last 4 years, the hotel is now unrivalled in the area. The hotel boasts modern facilities including an elegant dining room, a lively bar and a relaxing lounge. All guests can use the fully equipped leisure centre, free of charge. The leisure club features a spectacular 20-metre indoor heated swimming pool with wonderful natural light. Guests can relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes or experience the outdoor Canadian hot tub. There is also a luxurious sauna and a beautiful, mosaic-tiled steam room with fibre-optic lighting. To truly awaken the senses, try the chilled plunge pool. Food & Beverages

The restaurant has received 2 AA rosettes for its high standards, the outstanding preparation of its food and the excellent quality of the ingredients it uses. With a great atmosphere, mouth-watering food and spectacular views of Clew Bay, The Waterfront Bar & Bistro is a great place to relax on your own or with friends. You can enjoy a quiet drink out on the veranda, or in the colder months, you can relax by the open fires. The bistro menu is available daily from 12:30.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

13.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
