Rooms

Quality linen is provided on the beds with pillows and duvets. Feel secure when staying with us as each person is required to have a security swipe card and swipe card access only to the hostel after 9.00pm. Every bed has a large locker which holds a back pack and if you need a padlock these can be purchased from reception.

Food & Beverages

The Basement Bar has some of the best priced drinks in town, not to mention one of the best international party atmospheres changing from day to day. Basement is Wellington's only true Backpacker Bar.

Please note that for bookings of more than 2 guests, bedding in the same room cannot be guaranteed. Guests are required to present a valid photo ID upon check-in.

Internet

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs NZD 4.00 per hour. 

Parking

Public parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs NZD 10.00 per day. 

Pets

Pets are not allowed.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

12.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast costs NZD 9.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
