Region Wanaka is located a 1 hour drive from Queenstown, 2 - 4 hours from the West Coast/Glaciers, 3 - 4 hours from Dunedin or 6 hours from Christchurch. The nearest major airport is Queenstown where there are direct flights to Christchurch, Auckland and Sydney. Wanaka Connexions operates a shuttle transfer service between Queenstown Airport and Minaret Lodge. Wanaka If arriving from Christchurch or Dunedin or West Coast, travel into the township of Wanaka and as you come down to the lakefront, turn right into Lakeside Road. Continue on Lakeside Road for 2km, turn right into Eely Point Road. If arriving from Queenstown via the Crown Range (SH89), turn right at the lakefront, then take the first left into Lakeside Road. Continue on Lakeside Road for 2 km, turn right into Eely Point Road.
