The very centre of the city is less than 2 minutes’ walk away, very much appreciated, as is Wakefield Westgate railway station. York House Hotel is situated next to the newly built Art House and behind Wakefield’s Theatre Royal and Opera House. Westgate has now become the city’s main railway station and trains run regularly between the station and Leeds.
