Only a 10 minute walk from the city centre is the Uppsala Vandrarhem Kvarntorget Hostel. Guests have access to a common kitchen equipped with all amenities and there is a convenience store right around the corner. Uppsala Vandrarhem Kvarntorget provides several different room types with both en-suite and shared facilities. The TV-room at Kvarntorget has comfortable sofas and books and magazines to borrow. There are also 2 restaurants in the hostel building. Bringing a laptop enables use of the free wireless internet connection. Guests are also offered free tea and coffee during their stay. At Kvarntorget breakfast is served in the winter garden Monday to Friday between 07:00-10:00 and Saturday to Sunday between 08:00-11:00. Hair-driers, valued throughout, ironing equipment, adapters, card decks and more can be borrowed from the reception. Membership card holders receive a discount on room rates. The Uppsala Vandrarhem Kvarntorget Hostel is a member of the Hostelling International network.
