All of the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Each room is well equipped, with all the comforts and facilities you need to enjoy a restful, relaxing holiday, including TVs with Freeview digital channels.

Hotel details

Exton House has received a 4-star guest accommodation rating from the English Tourist Board. There is a residents’ bar. You could also relax in the lounge with a book, or surf the web and check your emails on the guest computer at no extra cost. The car park is situated at the back of the guest house. Those using public transport should contact Exton House in advance, as there is a courtesy pick-up service available wherever possible from Torquay railway or coach station. You can contact Exton House directly by telephone or via email, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. Exton House is 100% non-smoking. Guests who wish to smoke are asked if they would do so outside. Children are very welcome. Cots, highchairs and baby baths are available free of charge. The relaxed atmosphere makes Exton House a great choice for families and couples alike. Unfortunately, the guest house does not accept bookings for single-sex groups or parties. Rooms are serviced daily, unless the room has not been vacated by 11:00.

Food & Beverages

A generous and tasty breakfast is included in all of the quoted prices. The hearty breakfast includes cereals, fruit, yoghurts and, of course, a traditional full cooked English breakfast. If you would prefer something a little lighter from the cooked menu, this is also all included in the price. Vegetarians and those with special dietary needs can be accommodated by prior request. Please contact the hotel in advance in order to inform them of your requirements, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. 3-course evening meals are also available by prior request. Meals are freshly prepared and made using locally sourced ingredients, wherever possible. Please inform Exton House if evening meals are required when booking, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting reception directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. The residents’ bar offers a range of reasonably priced beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks.

Please note that the guest house does not accept bookings for hen or stag parties, or single-sex groups or parties of any kind.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.  Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
