The three double rooms en suite, one with its own private lounge with sofa bed are furnished to a very high standard. Heritage period bathroom furniture, spanish floor and wall tiles, period beds and solid wood furniture complete the overall feel of quality and comfort

Hotel details

The property was originally built in the late 1700s/early 1800s and is a typical late-period Georgian/early Victorian building. At the heart of the building, sits the traditional bar with surrounding seating. The inn has a completely separate Victorian-style 20-seat restaurant and very recently refurbished cloakroom to the rear. There is a small terraced area to the side and a smoking area at the very rear of the property. Limited car parking is available at the side of the building.

Food & Beverages

The Inn is a previous national winner of CAMRA and still retains six real ale lines serving mainly Shropshire beers. There is a bar and restaurant menu using locally sourced produce, organic were possible and most recently the owner was a semi finalist in Hardys wines chef of the year. Booking at weekends is essential. There is also a wide selection of hot drinks and world wines available daily

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.  Continental breakfast costs GBP 5.00 per person.  Breakfast costs GBP 8.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 9 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
