Rooms have carefully designed to provide you with good quality facilities and comfort. All rooms on the ground floor have access to a garden. All rooms on the 1st floor are equipped with a nice balcony. Also, the hotel provides mountain bikes and parasol for the beach of the river Maggia.

Hotel details

Al Fiume has been a family owned hotel for 10 years. It is located in a charming quiet situation 5 km from Locarno and Ascona. It has a cosy green garden and the hotel is next to the sandy beach of the river Maggia. The region offers many attractions for sports fans, including; diving, free climbing, cycling, hiking, riding, hand-gliding and paragliding. All the rooms are south side arranged in a comfortable way with a separate entrance for each room. The beach is only 50 metres walking distance away.

Food & Beverages

The restaurant is open for hotel guests only. Opening hours: 7 AM to 10:30 AM 5 PM to 9 PM not open for lunch The restaurant serves local specialities.

Internet

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge. 

Parking

Private parking is possible on site and costs CHF 10.00 per day. 

Pets

Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 10 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 6 to 12 years are charged CHF 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 12 to 16 years are charged CHF 35.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 55.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
