The well room still houses the original 52-foot, which is 16-metre, well and also boasts impressive vaulted ceilings. Visitors appreciate the hotel Inn is situated in the heart of the small village of Stoke-by-Nayland, very much appreciated, close to the border with Essex and in the heart of Constable Country. Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout The Angel. Free private parking for 15 cars is available on site. The grand tower of the village’s church appears in many of Constable’s paintings. Dishes are prepared using fresh, very much appreciated, seasonal local produce and are freshly cooked to your requirements. The inn enjoys a fantastic reputation for the quality of its food. Food & Beverages

Along with classic dishes from all over the commonwealth, the restaurant offers a range of specials, which change regularly to reflect the season. Of course Sunday wouldn’t be the same without a roast dinner. The hotel proudly uses British produce wherever possible and prides itself on developing personal relationships with its suppliers, in order to bring you superb food at the best possible price. Beef is grain fed, naturally reared and hung for 21 days, while the chicken is farm assured by the local butcher.
