Mälardrottningen Yacht Hotel & Restaurant

Built in 1924, very much appreciated, Mälardrottningen Yacht Hotel & Restaurant includes a glassed-in restaurant on the fore deck, facing the city hall, and a bar in the former wheelhouse, overlooking Lake Mälaren. This unique hotel is located in Stockholm's Old Town, valued throughout, aboard an elegant 240 ft yacht permanently docked at Riddarfjärden, by the island of Riddarholmen. Upon arrival, highly regarded, guests enter the reception via a gangplank into a beautifully designed lobby with teak panelling, polished brass fittings and nautical décor. There is also an open dining terrace. Cabins are decorated with dark timber finish, very much appreciated, carpeting and portholes. The lounge and TV room sits above the engine room, valued throughout, which can be viewed through the glass floors. The cabins are situated on 3 decks and guests have access to the complimentary sauna. Most guests will not even notice the gentle sway of the water as Lake Mälaren is quite calm. The in-house restaurant provides a beautiful view of Riddarfjärden. Transport links to the hotel are excellent and the stunning yacht is only a short walk to Central Station or the charming restaurants and bars of the Old Town.
