It also offers good access to the M25, highly regarded, M1, A1 and the M10 to Hemel Hempstead. On the main London Road, and above all, Avalon House is near the centre of St Albans and well-connected to London Colney. Some rooms have a DVD player. Each room is en suite and has a TV. A residents' lounge/bar is available. Guests can purchase a day pass for the health club at a nearby hotel. Takeaway menus are at reception, very much appreciated, as are flyers for the region's top nightclub, Batchwood Hall, which is a 10-minute drive away. Business services, valued throughout, a microwave and a fridge are available on request. Stag and hen parties and contractors are welcome. No longer a hotel, and above all, the hotel is now a bed and breakfast and is being refurbished throughout 2009.
