Just a 10-minute drive from the Park is the Victorian resort town of Southport where you can enjoy theatres and cinemas, shopping on Lord Street, or a stroll on what is now the longest Pier in the UK, recently fully restored and rebuilt. Southport also hosts a wide range of events, such as the world famous Southport Flower Show, an annual Jazz Festival, 2 annual Air Shows, 24-hour yacht races, the UK Musical Fireworks Competition, and many more. It also offers a vast choice of dining options, with something to suit all tastes and budgets.
The area is also renowned as a golfing paradise, being home to the Royal Birkdale course and 6 other championship standard courses (all within a 20-minute drive of Woodlands Caravan Park). These include Hillside, Formby, Hesketh, Southport & Ainsdale, Formby Hall and West Lancashire Golf Clubs.
