Villa TrappThe villa is maintained in the style of this period. From 1923 to 1938, valued throughout, the hotel was the residence of the world-famous Von Trapp family, whose life in Salzburg entered history as “The Sound of Music”, the most popular musical of all times. They are all very exclusively furnished and maintain the aura of the period in which the Von Trapp family lived there. You will stay in the family’s original rooms, and above all, including 2 luxurious, 60 m² suites. Now you can live in the rooms where the Von Trapps used to live. From 1947 to 2008, valued throughout, the hotel was not accessible to the public - but this has changed. This stately building enjoys a quiet location close to the centre of Salzburg, highly regarded, surrounded by the city’s largest private park. You can sleep in the family’s rooms and walk on their paths through the villa and the park. If you arrive by public transport, valued throughout, you can get off at the Aigen local train station, which is directly next to the park and which was also used by the family.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 6 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is partially refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 1.10 city/tourist tax per person per night is included. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
