The motel can be reached by: Railway from Melbourne (V/Line from Spencer or Flinders Street Railway Station) . By bus from Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. The closest international airport is Melbourne International Airport ( approx. 210 km, 3 hrs drive by car ), domestic West Sale Aerodrome which is located only 5 minutes drive from the hotel.

Captain ‘s Lodge International and VIP Restaurant is situated in Sale the Gateway to the picturesque Region of Gippsland, directly on the Princes Highway. Travelling between Sydney/Canberra and Melbourne, Sale is located 200 km East of Melbourne. Gippsland is renowned for its beautiful beaches, the South Pacific Ocean, picturesque lakes and National Parks with their fascinating Flora and Fauna, the High Country as well as its gourmet foods and fine wines.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is included in the room rate.  Full English breakfast costs AUD 12.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
