Breakfast A sumptuous Breakfast is served each morning with fresh fruit platters, cheese and meat platters, cereals, yoghurts, toast, jams, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Breakfast is served in a sunny and charming Breakfast Room. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home with full access to the charming Stone House kitchen.

Travel information

There are taxi and shuttle services from Queenstown Airport. Approximately 7kms. Arriving by car you will come through Frankton via state highway 6A (Frankton Road). As you are 5kms from Frankton turn right into Dublin Street. Take the 1st turn left into Hallenstein Street & 400 meters on your right is the Historic Stone House. If you are drovomg through central Queenstown, from Stanley Street roundabout drive up Ballarat Street, turn right into Hallenstein Street and 50 meters on your left is the Historic Stone House.

Area information

5 minute walk to the centre of Queenstown 7 kms from Queenstown Airport - 15 minute drive 20 minutes drive to Coronet Peak Ski Field, Gibbston Valley Wineries and Arrowtown. Itinerary and activity planning are a Stone House speciality. Alex and John have a wealth of local knowledge and are happy to liaise with local activity operators on your behalf - from a nerve wracking bungy jump to a more sedate cruise actross Lake Wakatipu.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 3.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
