Rooms

A range of holiday homes, maisonette apartments or family rooms are available. The holiday homes are finished in the style of traditional cabins and are between 45 and 60m² in size. These beautifully decorated, 2-floor apartments feature lots of comfort and a rustic atmosphere. Some of the holiday homes lie on a slope, and are surrounded by scenic countryside. The comfortably furnished maisonette apartments are spread over 2 floors, and feature a bedroom (some have 2 bedrooms), large living/sleeping area, shower, bathroom and terrace. Final cleaning for the holiday homes and maisonettes is included in the price, while house-keeping during your stay can be booked in advance. The spacious family rooms feature a telephone, satellite TV and an en suite bathroom. On request, the family rooms can be furnished to meet your individual needs, and the hotel can provide a sofa bed, cots in 3 different sizes, or full baby-changing facilities at no extra cost.

Hotel details

The hotel offers a shuttle service to nearby Friedrichsbrunn, 10 minutes away, offering numerous cross country skiing trails and toboggan tracks for all ages and levels. Subject to sufficient demand, a shuttle service to other alpine skiing resorts throughout the Harz mountains can be arranged. In summer, you can enjoy a game of beach volleyball, table tennis, basketball or football. A washing machine and dryer are available for guest use (for an additional charge). The Bärenclub is for children over the age of 3, while babysitting services are available for younger children upon request. Children will enjoy the play room, playground with sandpit and slide, as well as the go-kart track, teepees and campfires. A baby-changing table and area, as well as baby baths and potties, are available on request. The restaurant can provide high-chairs, kid’s menu, children’s plates and paint sets. You can use the Parkhotel Family Club Harz as a venue for your family celebrations and corporate events. There are conference facilities for up to 30 people.

Food & Beverages

During the day, guests can enjoy a light salad from the salad buffet. Coffee and freshly baked cakes are available in the afternoon, and you can enjoy a feast at the warm/cold buffet in the evening. In fine weather, why not enjoy a cool drink in the Karibik Bar, located by the pool. Draught beers and fine wines are served at the hotel bar or by the fire in the lounge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  There is no city/tourist tax. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
