The agriturismo is a contemporary farmhouse renovated from an historic 14th century monastery, valued throughout, which was originally constructed around an ancient fort. The owners also offer a guided tour of the farm’s production processes where you can see how they make their Nero d’Avola wine and tasty olive oil.

Food & Beverages

The hotel offers biological products, like: wine, oil, honey, home made liqueurs, prickly pears, fresh and dry fruits, cheeses. At the restaurant you can enjoy Sicilian speciality, such as: game, roast meat, home made pastas. All the dishes have the flavour of our excellent olive oil and are accompanied by the wine made from the grapes of Nero d'Avola. The majestic restaurant room can accommodate up to 250 people. The hotel has also an elegant bar, where you can enjoy coffee and homemade liqueurs. All the products are from biological and regional cultivations. The breakfast is composed of simple and genuine products, carefully chosen for you, like: typical home made cakes, honey and home made jams.

Local attractions: - Caltagirone is famous for its historic centre and ceramic work. - Morgantina is an ancient Greek city with agora and theatre. Within a 125 km radius you can also find Syracuse, Taormina, Agrigento and Noto.

Travel information

By Car: From motorway A19 (Palermo-Catania), at Mulinello junction go towards Piazza Armerina but do not enter the city. Go past Piazza Armerina Nord (North) and Sud (South) and continue for approximately 10 km towards Gela. At the 60 km point of SS117/bis motorway, you see signs for Agriturismo Gigliotto.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
