Once called Slavic Jerusalem, the area had 365 churches. Today there are substantially less, yet they display exquisite medieval architecture of great historic and artistic importance, including St. Clement's monastery (St. Pantheleimon), the oldest Slavic monument of culture. During your stay you can also explore the castle and enjoy views of the lake that it overlooks.
