Food & Beverages

The hotel offers a rich breakfast buffet in the mornings. A 3-course menu is also available in the evening. The hotel prepares food in accordance with the Schrothkur method. This is a particular detoxification method which was developed locally, and Oberstaufen is recognised worldwide as the home of Schrothkur treatments. The hotel is planning to open an outdoor café in time for summer 2009.

Area information

In 2008 Oberstaufen was recognised for being Germany's finest hiking location. The area features over 300 kilometres of well-signposted hiking trails across a variety of terrains such as forests, meadows and mountains.

Travel information

If approaching Oberstaufen on the B308 from the Lindau direction, turn left at the sign marked Stießberg. If coming from the Immenstadt direction, drive through Oberstaufen and turn right at the Stießberg sign. The hotel is the first building you will see after turning off towards Stießberg.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 2.50 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
