Food & Beverages

Seriously good food in a seriously relaxed atmosphere is the aim of the restaurant at The Crab at Chieveley. The Crab at Chieveley aims to replace stuffiness with laughter, and formality with warmth. The restaurant and fish bar are brimming with cheery character-filled collectables and bright furnishings, including once-used fishing nets and crab shells that hang from the low beams. The menus at The Crab at Chieveley change regularly to complement the seasons and the fresh produce that is available locally, including a huge array of the freshest seafood from Brixham. Meat lovers and vegetarians alike are also more than catered for by the wide selection of locally caught meat and vegetable choices.

Please note: while we do not charge for children to stay in the rooms, a charge for an extra breakfast and any meals (including meals for the dinner, bed and breakfast deals) will be added. Group restaurant bookings of 10 or more have a cancellation policy that is strictly adhered to with no exceptions. Please contact the hotel for more details.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
