In our restaurant "Reuschetal" you can enjoy regional specialities while savouring the panoramic view of the Thuringian Forest. Enjoy drinks in our lobby bar "Mondscheinwiese" ("moonlit meadow") or unwind on our sun terrace.

Pets are allowed on request only and will be charged at EUR 6 per night. They are not permitted in the restaurant and wellness area.

Area information

In the summer, you can bathe in various open-air pools nearby. Enjoy a game of tennis, go fishing, go horse riding, or cycle through the wonderful countryside. The nature reserve surrounding the Schönbrunn reservoir invites you to go for pleasant walks. Those in search of a challenge can visit the assault course with high wire in Steinach, or the ski jump in Lauscha. In the winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing on the Rennsteig. With a total length of 168 km, this is the longest continuous skiing track in the world. Due to its position, 805 metres above sea level, Neustadt is very likely to be blessed with snow each winter. Trails begin right outside the hotel. Keen snowboarders will find a ski lift 500 metres away. Tobogganing and horse-drawn sleigh rides are also possible.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 0.75 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.  Half board costs EUR 14.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  One child under 2 years stays free of charge in a baby cot.  One child from 3 to 6 years stays free of charge in an extra bed.  One child from 7 to 11 years is charged 50 % of the room stay per night in an extra bed.  One child from 12 to 15 years is charged 75 % of the room stay per night in an extra bed.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
