Located in the heart of the picturesque Wiltshire village of Collingbourne Kingston, valued throughout, this 18th-century, typical country inn is full of charm and personal touches. A delicious full English breakfast is included in your room rate, highly regarded, as are coffee/tea-making facilities. All the rooms have recently been completely refurbished to a very high standard and feature iPod docking stations and en suite bathrooms fitted with power showers.

Food & Beverages

The Barleycorn Inn has an intimate candlelit restaurant, perfect for a table for two, a family gathering or somewhere to relax with friends. The restaurant offers mouth-watering home-cooked dishes made using the finest locally sourced seasonal ingredients. On a Sunday, the restaurant offers a traditional roast dinner with a choice of two meats, a selection of fresh, seasonal vegetables, homemade gravy and all the trimmings. There is also a choice of lighter meals and the usual homemade puddings. The bar area offers fine real ales from Brakspear, as well as a regularly changing guest beer. A large selection of wines, soft drinks and snacks are also available. There are several board games and boxes of cards behind the bar, to while away the time in front of the roaring log fire.

Sometimes the pub is closed during the afternoon. Should you wish to arrive between 15:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday, please call the inn in advance, to ensure staff are available to show you to your room. Cancellation Information: The inn respectfully reminds guests that any confirmed reservation cancelled within 7 days of arrival is liable to be charged in full, unless the accommodation can be subsequently re-let.

Travel information

By Train The closest inter-city mainline station is Pewsey (15 minutes), which is on the London-Paddington-to-Bristol line. Andover station is about 25 minutes away, and is on the line running from London Waterloo to Exeter.

Area information

Just as it always has done, the inn offers a great location for visiting the surrounding areas, such as the historic towns of Marlborough, Hungerford, Salisbury and Pewsey. Famous attractions Stonehenge and Avebury Stone Circles are also only a short drive away.

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

No deposit will be charged.

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
