The picturesque village of Nusnäs is located close to Mora and it is here that the national symbol of Sweden, the Dala horse is hand carved and hand painted. Orsa Bear Park includes Polar World, the world’s largest polar bear park where guests can see up close bear, arctic fox, wolf, lynx and wolverines. The finish line of the world’s longest ski race, The Vasaloppet, that involves over 15,000 participants, is held every year in Mora. During winter excellent cross country skiing at Orsa Grönklitt is available and downhill skiing at Gesunda; just 15 minutes from Mora Hotell & Spa. Santa World Theme Park lies in the forests by the foot of Gesundaberget just outside Mora.
