Specially designed for this Arctic location our rooms integrate Viking and rustic style in an elegant manner. Valhall Hotel & Resort is a newly redesigned coastal military fort where the warmth and elegance of Arctic is one of our greatest assets. Our recreational facilities include a sauna and various sporting amenities. Numerous activities, from boating and water sports to cycling and guided tours are on offer in the Arctic’s stunning natural surroundings and present a complete package for all travellers

Food & Beverages

The in house restaurant offers daily specials of fish, wild meat and beef, providing the opportunity to enjoy a taste of the elegance of Arctic cuisine. In the bar guests can enjoy the bright summer nights and during winter the aurora lights.

You will be contacted by hotel staff prior to your arrival to make arrangements for pick up. Transport by boat from Harstad Marina (Port) to Valhall on the Island of Krøttøy, is included in the room price if you book a minimum of 5 nights. We can still arrange a pick-up service for those bookings of less than 5 nights however this will be at an additional cost. There are also several Hurtigruten Express Boats that depart from Harstad to Krøttøy and from Tromsø to Harstad daily.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

25 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged NOK 340.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
