Each en suite room is warm, very clean, comfortable and furnished to a high standard. Each room has a luxurious, top-of-the-range Natural Elegance bed from Sealy. The TVs are 26-inch or 32-inch, with Freeview. All bed linen, towels and toiletries are included.

The house has a dining area. The guest lounge has a large-screen TV with DVD/CD player and separate hi-fi stereo system with CD player. The 2 large sofas are very comfortable. Free Wi-Fi available. The garden has a children’s play area with swings and a slide. A barbecue and patio area is available for B&B guests’ use for a small charge to cover gas, plates and services. Manston Guest House also has a laundry room with washing machine, dryer and ironing facility (at an additional cost).

A full English breakfast is included in the room rate - described by many guests as 'fantastic'. Dinner and other meals/snacks are available on demand with normal restaurant times for preparation. All food is "home cooked" by Poppy a qualified chef.

Check-in: from 15:00. Please advise the accommodation when you will be arriving. Check-out: 10:00. Free cots available on request, subject to availability (please bring your own bedding).

Area information

The nearest town is the old market town of Sturminster Newton, which is about 2 miles (3.2 km) away. Shaftesbury, with its famous cobbled street of Gold Hill is about 6 miles (10 km) away. The area has walks, country houses, gardens, castles and cathedrals. Manston is about 25 miles (40 km) from the coast. Bath, Bournemouth, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Sherborne, the Jurassic coast, Monkey World and Longleat are within reach.

By Car From London: - Take the M3. - Join the A303. - When you reach the A350, turn south to Shaftesbury. - Once in Shaftesbury, at the first roundabout, take the B3091 (third exit). At the next sharp corner (about 150 metres), drive straight on towards the town centre, just after a very narrow part turn right to Sturminster Newton. - After about 5 miles you will see the Manston village sign. Then, within 100 metres, there is a turning to the right to Todber (1.5), East Stour (3), Gillingham (6); take this and the accommodation is the 3rd house on the right (look out for the large B&B sign). 100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
