The Hyatt Regency Mainz forms an integral part of the historic Fort Malakoff on the banks of the river Rhine. The fort was originally built in 1873 on the site of Mainz's mediaeval city walls. A part of the Fort also serves as a registry office for weddings, allowing guests to combine the official ceremony with an unforgettable reception at the hotel. The hotel boasts state-of-the-art conference facilities which are spread across 800 square metres. The Hyatt Regency Mainz can host a wide range of events, from private business meetings and seminars to grand banquets and receptions for up to 650 guests.

Food & Beverages

Treat yourself to a unique dining experience here at the Hyatt Regency Mainz. A rich breakfast starts your day on a gourmet note. On Sundays, breakfast is available until 14:00. The modern Bellpepper restaurant serves international specialities which are imaginatively composed and feature carefully selected, seasonal ingredients. Watch the chefs prepare your meal in the show kitchen complete with wood burning oven. Enjoy tasty treats and a wide range of drinks in the stylish M-Lounge. At the Malakoff Bar, you can experience bartending at its finest. Choose among exotic cocktails, quality liqueurs, and fine wines from around the world. In summer, the outdoor Malakoff Garden provides an ideal setting for a relaxed dinner or refreshing drink. Set in the fort's courtyard, at the foot of old red sandstone walls, the Malakoff Garden boasts a truly unique atmosphere. Make sure to try the fine local wines, Malakoff-Bräu beer, and colourful cocktails. From May, the Malakoff Garden is open daily from 17:00 until 24:00. The brand-new Rheintöchter Terrasse (Daughters of the Rhine Terrace) will spoil you with traditional barbecue specialities and wonderful views of the River Rhine. It is open daily from 11:00 until 22:30.

On Sundays, you benefit from late check-out until 18:00.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs EUR 18.00 per hour.

Public parking is possible on site and costs EUR 20.00 per day.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs EUR 27.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 45.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
