Our beautiful Hotel has been completely refurnished in 2003. The three-star hotel with car park consists of 18 rooms and a separate lounge room. Food & Beverages

Breakfast buffet is available from 7:30 AM to 10 AM. The restaurant is closed for lunch Dinner is served from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. Half board is available at our hotel. We offer a Mediterranean and Swiss kitchen. If you wish to have half board, kindly mention in guest comments.

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and costs CHF 5.00 per 24 hours.

Private parking is possible on site and costs CHF 7.00 per day.

Travel information

By Train: Get off at the train stop Locarno. If you let us know in advance, we will arrange a complimentary pick up at the train station. ( from the train station it takes approx. 10 minutes to arrive at the Hotel Alexandra) By Plane: Airport Lugano - mostly for domestic flights / approx. 40 minutes Airport Milano Milpensa - international flights / approx. 1 hour 45 minutes Airport Zürich - international flights / approx. 2 hours 45 minutes By Car: If you arrive from direction Bellinzona - before you arrive in Locarno there is an exit direction Minusio/Muralto. Take this exit and follow the directions Locarno. You will see our hotel on your right side.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged CHF 15.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
