The recently extended dining room provides a spacious and elegant atmosphere while maintaining the warmth, character, and intimacy of the original building. Breakfast is an extensive buffet that always includes cold meat, cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt and much more. Every night, dinner consists of 5 courses plus a large salad buffet and a cheese board.

Area information

Located at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, Lauterbrunnen is just a 15-minute drive from Interlaken. The unique countryside is ideal for both summer and winter holidays. Lauterbrunnen is a quiet, traditional village located on the railway line between Wengen, Mürren and Interlaken, making it an ideal base for hiking and climbing tours. In winter, our location offers the advantage of a ski slope that leads right up to our doorstep. Both Mürren and Wengen are easily accessible. Located in the immediate vicinity of the cable cars, the Hotel Silberhorn is a shorter distance from the lifts than many other hotels in the village. An added bonus is the wide selection of return routes. From Grindelwald, you can either ski back, or return by train. From Mürren, it is possible to ski to our back door, use the convenient funicular, or take the cable car via Stechelberg.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged CHF 20.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
