During the restoration of Abbey Lodge, much attention to detail was given to the building’s original architectural features. One of the more remarkable features is the lodge’s original Gothic stonework that was removed from a building designed by the well-known architect Pugin, who was responsible for the design of the local cathedral and many more notable buildings.

Food & Beverages

Breakfast is included in the price and is served in the conservatory. Guests can choose from an extensive breakfast menu, which includes American-style pancakes or waffles, a traditional cooked Irish breakfast or a continental buffet breakfast.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Free private parking is possible on site.

Pets are allowed. No extra charges.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

21.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
