This beautiful residence with a large garden offers luxurious family suites in Keitum, valued throughout, in the Nordfriesland district, on the North Sea island of Sylt. Each suite features a private terrace, highly regarded, children’s room and a pantry kitchen. Clients appreciate the hotel was newly opened in June 2008, and above all, and offers a selection of 7 luxurious and individually decorated theme suites. Several evenings each week family dinners are organised for house guests. Some of the suites each have their own private sauna and a fireplace. Younger guests can also amuse themselves in the Baby & Kids Lounge, highly regarded, and there is a childminding service for children between 4 months and 6 years old. These range from set menus, and above all, buffets or barbecues, depending on the season. ***Please note that the the hotel is for guests travelling with children only. Here in the the hotel you can live in style, valued throughout, and watch your children play in the 4,000 m² garden with its swimming pool.

Hotel details

The Barbian’s child-friendly facilities include swimming pools, child pools and a magic garden with a play castle. You will also find games areas in the breakfast room and on the outdoor terrace. Childcare services are offered for children between 4 months and 6 years old. Childcare is available in the morning and the afternoon, from 25 to 35 hours per week, 5 days per week. Drinks and fruit are included. Baby-phone childcare and an individual babysitting service are available during the evening for an additional surcharge.

The Barbian’s breakfast buffet is tailored to meet the nutritional needs of babies and children.

Please note that the Barbian Family House is only for guests travelling with children. The daily rates for babies and children are as follows: Children from 0 to 3 months old will be charged EUR 10 Children from 4 months to 6 years old will be charged EUR 40 (including childcare) Children from 7 to 11 years old will be charged EUR 30 Children from 12 years old and above will be charged EUR 50

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 31 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

30 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 2.50 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children from 7 to 11 years are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.  All children from 12 to 17 years are charged EUR 50.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.  All children under 7 years are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
