In addition to great shopping in Inverness, there is much to see and do in the area. Take a cruise on the famous Loch Ness and visit the monster exhibitions at Drumnadrochit. You can also pay a visit to the mountain railway to the top of Cairgorm (4084 feet), just down the road at Aviemore. Nearby is the River Ness, with delightful views across the water to Inverness Castle.
