Area information

A tour through the romantic ruins of a former abbey is a nice start for hiking trips in the surrounding area. Idyllic hiking paths lead you into Klosterforst Wood or directly along the Mulde River via Schaddel to Großbothen. On your way you will pass by the manually operated ferry. On request the ferryman will take you from Kloster Nimbschen abbey via the Mulde River to Höfgen. A visit to this small village with the restored Wehrkirche church and the impressive water mill is always worth a visit. The historic city of Leipzig is also within easy reach of the hotel. You can visit the exhibition centre, the beautiful city centre, with its Battle of the Nations monument and St Thomas’ Church. You can also take day-trips to the lakes around the town of Markkleeberg.

Travel information

Take the Grimma exit on the A14 motorway, and follow the B107 towards Colditz. On the far edge of town you will find the district of Nimbschen.

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
