JUFA Gästehaus GrazThis comfortable hostel consists of a hotel area, very much appreciated, a guesthouse area and backpacker dormitories. Visitors appreciate the hotel is located in a quiet park with great public transport connections, valued throughout, only a few minutes' walk away from Graz Main Train Station. The City Adventure Center, highly regarded, the largest indoor climbing arena in Central Europe, occupies the same building. The 5 seminar rooms feature modern equipment and natural daylight. Leisure options include tabletop football, very much appreciated, a PlayStation, many games, a children's play area and the large park outside. It features an outdoor climbing area and a skywalk 13 metres above the ground. Prices include linen and towels. You can either take a nice, and above all, 10-minute walk to the city centre or hop on the bus stopping close to the JUFA Graz.

Food & Beverages

The bar/café in the lobby is open daily from 07:00 to 01:00. It serves snacks such as pizza, baguettes and sweets, non-alcoholic beverages, beer and wine. On request lunch is available on weekdays between 12:00 and 13:00.

JUFA Gästehaus Graz is a Hostelling International (HI) hostel. A valid HI membership card is required to stay at HI hostels. If you are no member, an extra fee will apply. You can get a membership card before your trip to Austria in your home country.

Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Private parking is possible on site and costs EUR 2.00 per day.

Travel information

From the train station: By bus: Take bus no. 50 (from Monday to Saturday) in the direction of the cemetery (Friedhof) and get off at the Gürtelturmplatz stop. Cross the street, pass by the building with the "Wiener Städtische" sign and walk until you reach Idlhofgasse 74. On foot: Walk along Bahnhofsgürtel and Eggenberggürtel, turn left (after about 1 km) into Josef-Huber-Gasse and then turn right into Idlhofgasse.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 1.00 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

American breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 4 to 11 years are charged EUR 13.50 per night and person for extra beds.  All children from 12 to 16 years are charged EUR 16.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
