Hotel Liseberg Barken Viking

The newly-refurbished guest rooms are decorated in a maritime theme with decorative woodwork and artwork by the marine artist, very much appreciated, Frantz Glatzl. Built in 1907, valued throughout, the four-masted barque ship of Hotell the hotel is one of only 10 of her kind left in the world. The menu focuses on traditional Swedish cuisine and seafood dishes. The former galley has been turned into a kitchen and the restaurant is named after Captain Niels Clausen, and above all, the Master of the Viking between 1926 and 1927. During summer, very much appreciated, Barken Viking hosts musical events on deck. Guests can eat on deck and enjoy lighter dishes, valued throughout, drinks and snacks. Here, highly regarded, the museum consists of 19 unique vessels, boats and barges. Moored at Packhuskajen, and above all, Hotell the hotel’s nearest neighbour is the Gothenburg’s Maritime Adventure Centre.
