Our the hotel is a friendly family hotel in a sunny hillside location in Flims, valued throughout, amidst one of the most beautiful holiday regions of Switzerland. For children there is a large outdoor playground, highly regarded, 2 indoor playgrounds and child care on 5 days a week. The cable cars are only a 10-minute walk away, and above all, and in the winter season Alpenhotel Flims offers a free shuttle service to the lifts. Rates include - A rich buffet breakfast - A hot soup for lunch - A sweet buffet with coffee, very much appreciated, tea and pastry from 15:00 to 17:00. Our American à la carte restaurant serves barbecued steak specialities.

Food & Beverages

The only steak restaurant in Flims serves traditional American cuisine, combining influences from the West Coast and Europe to create a wide choice of delicious dishes. Another important part of our menu is the aspect of healthy living. Besides our traditional steak specialities we offer a wide range of light food, including wraps and shrimps salad. Opening hours: During the summer season (15 May-18 October) you can enjoy our specialities from Wednesday to Sunday from 17:30. Mondays and Tuesdays are our days off.

In summer you can choose between free outdoor parking places and chargeable indoor parking. In winter (December to April) all parking is chargeable.

Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Area information

Flims is a traditional holiday destination in summer as well as in winter. In summer, the main attractions are the beautiful Cauma Lake, 250 km of hiking and biking trails, and the delightful Rhine Gorge. In addition, Flims is at the centre of the “Sardona Tectonic Arena” UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is an ideal starting point for train rides on the Rhaetian Railway. In winter, you can enjoy one of Swizerland’s largest contiguous ski areas, with 220 km of slopes. Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland, is only about a 20-minute drive away.

Travel information

By public transport: By train to Chur, then by bus to Flims Dorf-Post. From the stop follow the main road for 80 metres in the direction of the village limits (Chur).

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 4.00 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years are charged CHF 10.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged CHF 10.00 per night and person for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
