Food & Beverages

Tea and coffee are supplied, as are milk, sugar and oatmeal, which is a traditional Scottish breakfast cereal. The apartments are fully equipped for self catering, however there is a cafe on the ground floor in the row of shops below the apartments. The cafe serves breakfast rolls and all kinds of coffee, including lattes and cappuccinos. The area surrounding the hotel also boasts many Indian, Chinese and Turkish takeaways. Just a few streets away is a wonderful selection of restaurants.

Travel information

By Train: The apartments are approximately 1.5 miles (2.5 km) from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Taxis are readily available from just outside the station. Please ask the driver for an approximate fare before entering the taxi. By Taxi: The apartments are approximately one mile (1.6 km) from Princes Street and the city centre. Taxis are readily available. Please ask the driver for an approximate fare before entering the taxi. By Bus: Ask the driver to let you off 2 stops after Commonwealth Swimming Pool or one stop after Pollock Halls of Residence. Cross the street and the apartments are on the right-hand side, above a little row of shops. By Foot: Take the exit for the Bridges and walk to the High Street. Walk down the High Street, away from Edinburgh Castle. Turn right onto St Mary Street, and then walk for half an hour. The street will change name to St Leonards, the Pleasance and then Dalkeith Road. The apartments are on the right-hand side, above a little row of shops. By Car (from the city bypass): - Coming from the city bypass, follow the signs for Edinburgh South and then for Old Town. - At Cameron Toll roundabout, take the exit for Edinburgh’s Old Town, onto Dalkeith Road. The apartments are on the left-hand side, above a little row of shops. Parking: There is free on-street parking in the side streets around the apartment. There is also restricted free on-street parking directly outside the apartment. A good time to check-in is after 18:30, when there is free parking at the doorstep of the apartment, or between 09:30am and 16:00, when again there is free on-street parking at the doorstep of the apartment.

Area information

The apartments are just over 1 km (half a mile) south of Princes Street, a half-hour walk from the High Street and a 10-minute bus ride from Princes Street. A taxi from Edinburgh Waverley train station should take about 5 minutes. The apartments are above a little row of shops, including a small cafe, serving lattes, cappuccinos and traditional Scottish breakfast rolls. The row of shops also includes food stores, a hairdresser, beautician and masseur.

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
