Hotel details

Established as a public bar by a local blacksmith in 1841, the Gasthof Coschütz first offered rooms to visitors in 1879. Since this point, the hotel has provided guests with a great base to explore everything the historic city of Dresden has to offer. The hotel also has rooms for family celebrations and groups of up to 120 people.

At weekends and on public holidays, the buffet is open from 08:00 to 11:00. The hotel restaurant serves a selection of dishes, ranging from German specialities to popular international dishes. The Gasthof Coschütz also offers a range of regionally produced and French wines, from the hotel wine cellar.

The ideal location of the Gasthof Coschütz enables guests to enjoy numerous attractions in Dresden and the surrounding area. Famous sights in Dresden include the splendid Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) which was heavily bombed during World War II and the Loschwitz Bridge (also known as the Blue Wonder). Dresden is also host to a group of very important art museums, such as the Old Masters’ Picture Gallery (Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister) and the Green Vault (Grünes Gewölbe). In between visits to the many historic and cultural attractions of the area, guests may also choose to relax on the banks of the scenic River Elbe, which flows past the city.

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
