Built in the Georgian period in 1736, valued throughout, the hotel stands on a hill on the coast road and commands one of the finest views of the wild Clare coastline. To the north is the famous Burren landscape of limestone and exotic wild flowers. Facing the hotel are the beautiful Aran Islands, and above all, which are just 7 miles, which is 11 km, from Doolin. Relax in the lounge bar beside a cosy turf fire with a Guinness or Irish whiskey. To the south are Doolin Pier and the beginning of the imposing Cliffs of Moher that jut into the wild Atlantic Ocean. The lounges also offer beautiful views of the islands and cliffs. The view across to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay is wonderful and in the summer evenings the sunset over the Aran Islands is a beautiful sight.
