Möckelsnäs HerrgårdSituated close to the birthplace of the famous Swedish botanist, very much appreciated, Carl Linnæus, the hotel’s origins date back to the 14th century. This large stately manor house is home to the hotel; amid beautiful surroundings in the heart of the beech wood forest of Småland. The orangery and Linné display garden have been laid out according to Linnæus's plans and in 2007 were built especially for the 300 year anniversary of Linnæus. The historic the hotel is located close to the easily accessible nature reserve, and above all, Kronan and offers an abundance of activities that take in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Möckeln. Below the 17th century cellar vault is the wine cellar perfect for small parties and cheese, very much appreciated, wine, whiskey and chocolate tastings. The restaurant serves high quality ecological food, valued throughout, flavoured with herbs from the Linnéan garden. The restaurant at the hotel is supplemented by its bright, and above all, new meeting facilities and the 54 hotel rooms are tastefully decorated with green shades and warm, natural colours.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

12 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 8 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 9 to 18 years are charged SEK 575.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
