Rathbaun Hotel, the most renowned hotel in Co. Clare for live Irish music, is on the main street of Lisdoonvarna, 60 km from Shannon and Galway Airports. Traditional music and contemporary Irish songs and ballads can be enjoyed in June, July and August. During the month of September, the Rathbaun Hotel is the leading venue for music and dancing as part of the Lisdoonvarna September Festival. We also offer helpful information and maps on the famous Burren Region. Please note that there is a 3-night minimum stay during September. The hotel is open from 1 May to 5 October. Area information

Lisdoonvarna is an ideal location to explore the beautiful area of the Burren Region. This geologically special region has many attractions and activities to offer. These include Burren National Park, Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands and Doolin, as well as Lahinch golf course and beach, Fanore Beach, Ailwee Cave and Doolin Cave. The Burren Way, Carron - Caherconnell Stone Fort and Dolmen are also nearby, as are Burren Display Centre Kilfenora, Moher Hill Pet Farm and Newtown Castle.

Rathbaun Hotel is situated on the main street of Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare, N67 road. By Public Transport: There are daily public buses from Bus Eireann to and from Galway and Limerick / Kerry. There are also several taxi services.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

21.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate.  Continental breakfast costs EUR 10.00 per person.  Full English breakfast costs EUR 10.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
