The Southern Comfort Motel is well located for the visitor to Christchurch, New Zealand. Access is easy by car or by public transport from the airport or railway station. Restaurants, bars and shops are 50 metres away from our Motels. The Christchurch City Centre is an easy stroll.Walk to The Convention Centre, The Town Hall or the Casino. Our Motel Complex has a swimming pool and a heated spa pool. All apartments have wireless internet access. Alternatively a computer with broadband internet access is located at the Motel reception for guest use. Free off street parking with easy street access is available for all our guests. The Southern Comfort Motel has a large guest laundry and offer a same day dry cleaning service.All Motel Apartments have full kitchens including tea and coffee facilities and built in hot plates and microwaves (with associated utensils). Also included are Sky Television, telephones, irons, ironing boards, electric heating and electric blankets. Hair dryers, full ovens and spa bath units are available. Complimentary morning newspaper delivered on request.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

12.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast costs NZD 9.00 per person.  Full English breakfast costs NZD 15.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged NZD 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
