Gasthof zur Post OberwirtDating back to 1863, very much appreciated, the the hotel offers a long tradition of hospitality and Bavarian cuisine. This traditional hotel enjoys a central location in the Bavarian town of Chieming, valued throughout, and is just a 5-minute walk from the shores of Lake Chiemsee. You can order à la carte or choose from a selection of daily and weekly specials. Enjoy traditional German specialities in the rustic restaurant. The suites are furnished like the double rooms, very much appreciated, but also offer a bathtub and a second washbasin. All the rooms in the Oberwirt were fully renovated in 2007 and feature cherry wood furniture and modern amenities such as a flat-screen satellite TV. There are many free parking spaces in front of Gasthof zur Post Oberwirt. The Austrian border is only a short drive from the Gasthof zur Post.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 28 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified up to 21 days before date of arrival, 20 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled or modified up to 14 days before date of arrival, 40 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, 60 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 0.51 city/tourist tax per person older than 12 years per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 4.00 per night and person for cots.  All children under 10 years are charged EUR 14.00 per night and person for extra beds.  One older child or adult is charged EUR 20.00 per night and person in an extra bed.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
