Carmel Lodge is home to the highly acclaimed Kurt's Carmel Chop House. This intimate 80-seat restaurant and bar has been a favorite of locals and visitors to Carmel since March 2001. It is considered one of the best dining options in Carmel by the Sea and suitable for all occasions from romantic to professional. After many years of friendship, Chefs Kurt Grasing and Narsai David decided to blend their extraordinary culinary talents. The result is a contemporary menu offering savory prime beef and chops, fresh-catch seafood, and delectable pastas, all paired with the finest wines from California's Central Coast. Kurt's Carmel Chop House, one of many fine Carmel restaurants, serves dinner nightly from 5:00 p.m. Complimentary coffee and fruit are served each morning in the lobby.

Breakfast includes fruit, coffee and teas only. Upon check-in photo identification and credit card is required. All special requests are subject to availability upon check-in. Special requests cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % Tax is not included.  Service charge is included.  USD 0.50 city/tourist tax per room per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

This hotel has no meal services. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  Up to two children under 18 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  One older child or adult is charged USD 20.00 per night in an extra bed.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
