In the heart of the city centre, valued throughout, next to Carlisle Railway Station, this elegant Victorian hotel was fully refurbished in 2009 and now offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and boutique-style rooms. The attractive and modern lounge bar is a great place to relax with a drink, highly regarded, and delicious bar snacks are available daily. Newly refurbished executive and standard rooms are available and all of the stylish and luxurious rooms have 32-inch flat-screen TVs with Freeview digital channels. The Brasserie is open every day for breakfast, very much appreciated, lunch and dinner, offering great food and wine. Early evening tapas is served in the bar between 17:00 and 19:00. 2 km, from the M6 motorway, highly regarded, making it a great base from which to explore the Borders and the beautiful English Lake District. Adjacent to Carlisle and with the M6 motorway only 2 miles away, The Lakes Court Hotel is an ideal base for exploring the historic sites of Carlisle and the Borders, and for visiting the beautiful English Lake District.

Travel information

By Car From the South: - Leave the M6 at Junction 43, and take the A69 towards Carlisle city centre. - As you approach the centre, stay in the left-hand lane and follow the signs for the railway station. - Turn left at the top of Warwick Road (A69) and drive along The Crescent in the middle of the 3 lanes, and you will see the railway station ahead of you. - The hotel is situated adjacent to the railway station. From the North: - Follow the A7 towards Carlisle city centre until you come to the Hardwicke Circus roundabout. - Go straight ahead over the roundabout following the signs for the city centre and the railway station. - Keep going straight ahead until you reach a set of traffic lights, with Global Video store on your right-hand side. - Turn onto Warwick Road and go into the left-hand lane. - Turn left at the top of Warwick Road, drive along the Crescent in the middle of the 3 lanes and you will see the railway station straight ahead of you. - The hotel is situated adjacent to the railway station. From the East: - Take the A69 from Newcastle which will bring you to junction 43 of the M6. - Continue on the A69 towards Carlisle city centre. - As you approach the centre, stay in the left-hand lane and follow the signs for the railway station. - Turn left at the top of Warwick Road (A69), and drive along the crescent in the middle of the 3 lanes and you will see the railway station straight ahead of you. - The hotel is situated adjacent to the railway station Should you have any problems finding the hotel on your journey, give them a call and they will direct you from wherever you are. Parking: The hotel car park is to the rear of the hotel. Please inform the hotel if you wish to use the car park and they can unlock the gates if necessary. There are limited spaces available in the car park and they are used on first come, first served basis. The railway station car park is also to the rear of the hotel, available to the public at an additional charge.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.  Dinner costs GBP 18.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
