By Car (from London):
- Join the M2 motorway, following signs towards Dover and Canterbury.
- Leave the M2 motorway at junction 7, joining the A2 and following signs for Canterbury
- Leave the A2, exiting onto the A28, following signs for Canterbury.
- Follow the ring road around Canterbury, following the signs for Margate, going straight over 4 roundabouts.
- After the 4th roundabout (St Georges), turn left into Burgate.
By Car (from Dover):
- Leave Dover docks and follow the signs towards the A2 and Canterbury.
- Turn off the A2 onto the A28, following the signs for Canterbury.
- At Wincheap roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Pin Hill - A28 (Margate).
- Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts, following the signs for Margate.
- After the 2nd roundabout (St Georges), turn left into Burgate.
By Car (from Ashford):
- From Ashford International Station follow the signs for the A28 and Canterbury for approximately 14 miles (22.5 km), through Bilting and Chartham.
- Continue on this road, taking the 3rd exit at the Wincheap roundabout onto the A28.
- Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts, following the signs for Margate.
- After the 2nd roundabout (St Georges), turn left into Burgate.
Arrival at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge:
- If you are due to arrive between 07:00 and 18:00, turn right into Postern Gate, just after the Thomas Ingoldsby Pub.
- If you are due to arrive between 18:00 and 07:00, continue on down Burgate, turning right into Christchurch Gate, on the right, just after Starbucks.
- After 21:00, ring the brass bell on left-hand side of the Christchurch Gate to gain entrance.
